In your "Collections" panel a new Collection set "Edit check (Not changed)" is created.
Within this Collection set for each development tool / slider a collection is created with these unedited photos.
These collections are organized in a hierarchy of 7 collection sets, in the same way as the right panel in the Develop module.
So with a few clicks you see all the photos for which Exposure has not been changed for ...

Q: Why a limit of 1500
A
: Since Edit Check creates almost 50 collections with the selected photos that have not been changed, the processing could take a lot of memory.
A limit of 1500 has been set for safety.

Q: Can I change this limit
A
: Yes you can, but at your own risk!!
You can easely run in a memory problems when you set the limit to high.
Further the purpose of this plug-in is to check the photo you are to deliver or send and not to check your whole catalog.

Follow these steps to change the maximum number of photos to be checked:

  1. Close Lightroom
  2. Go to the EditCheck plug-in directory, see How can I find the plug-in directory?
  3. Search for files called like "TranslatedStrings_xx.txt"
xx stands for the language you are using.
If your language is not there the default "en" will be used.
  4. Make a backup of the original file in case somethings goes wrong.
  5. Open this file with an editor
  6. Search for the text "FindEditCheck/Settings/MaxPhotos"
  7. Change the number behind.
  8. Save the file
  9. Restart Lightroom

Q: Can I change the default settings?
A
: Yes, default the plug-in uses the defaults of Lightroom
There might be situations where you would like to check against a different default value. For example when using a "Develop preset" during import.
In this situation you might want to check against the develop values of the "Develop preset".

You can change the default values of the plug-in, but this is at your own risk!

All default values are stored in files called "TranslatedStrings_xx.txt", where xx stands for the abbreviation for your language. If you language is not there you should use the "en" version.

These are the steps:
  1. Close Lightroom
  2. Go to the EditCheck plug-in directory, see How can I find the plug-in directory?
  3. Search for files called like "TranslatedStrings_xx.txt"
xx stands for the language you are using.
If your language is not there the default "en" will be used.
  4. Make a backup of the original file in case somethings goes wrong.
  5. Open this file with an editor
  6. Search for all settings you would like to change.
Tip, if you would like to change the default settings to those of a "Develop preset", see How can I inspect a develop preset? for inspecting the "Develop preset".
You should search for the same settings
  7. Save the file
  8. Restart Lightroom
